Day 5 th of our 2 weeks sailing from Bahamas to South America!
Back to life! These are days when I dream about land based life!!!:)
After 3 days in bed with big headache and seasickness it is a big relief to feel any life energy again. Since we left Exuma, my biggest and the only challenge has been feeding Kuba and Julian. The remedy for these unpleasant days was…. Julian who wanted to kiss and hug all the time. So we did! In bed, while watching Winnie the Pooh with Kuba. Kids have been amazing. They play toys, eat a lot, watch cartoon, of course that is their favourite part of sailing. Today was the very first day I felt good and enjoyed our trip. And that means …we had a very first normal and very good lunch and diner as well For last days, unfortunately, Bartek was waiting for me with cooking, Victoria is not the best cook as she claims, so they preferred to join kids in eating crackers and sandwiches Once I got alive, I made a huge plate of banana pancakes with sour cream and raspberry jam plus a giant pot with lentils, chickpeas and tomatoes. And guess what! We ate it all! Maybe to catch up our previous lean diet days. Later on, we cleaned our house.. and in the evening we were enjoying beautiful pink and orange sunset, while dreaming of blueberry cheesecake and others tastes we would love to eat and do miss from Poland. It is a really simple life, here, at sea At the end of the day, Julian finally agreed to take a shower after I came up with the idea to organize some bath tub for him – a cooler
I finished my day on a night watch with a movie and a chocolate with peanut butter bar instead of having perfect blueberry cheesecake …
Have a nice weekend and Happy Mothers Day in Poland
Best wishes to My and Bartek`s Moms.
BTW. We continue motoring with 6 knots of speed, sea is almost flat and according to the weather forecast we are slowly getting ready to turn south on Sunday morning to …. Surinam!
